These terms govern the VeloGuardian referral program (the "Program"). By sharing or acting on a referral link, both the referring user (the "Referrer") and the referred user (the "Referred Friend") agree to these terms together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Where these referral terms conflict with our main Terms of Service, these terms control for the Program; the main Terms of Service control in all other respects. Participation is voluntary.
To earn a referral reward, a Referrer must:
Subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are not eligible to earn referral rewards. This exclusion is required to comply with Apple App Store and Google Play developer policies.
VeloGuardian employees, contractors, and individuals associated with the Program's operation cannot participate.
For a referral to qualify, the Referred Friend must:

The Referred Friend cannot be the same person as the Referrer. Using a different email address or a separate account does not change this — the same individual counts as the same person regardless of how many accounts they hold.
When a referral qualifies, the Referred Friend always receives one (1) free month on top of their first paid period (they pay for one month and receive two). The Referrer's reward grows with the number of paid referrals they generate, on the following ladder:
The ladder is cumulative — each qualifying referral credits the difference between the new tier total and the previous tier total. Rewards beyond the 25-paid-referral tier do not accrue further; the program caps at twelve (12) months of total Referrer rewards in any rolling 12-month period.
Rewards on both sides are credited automatically once the Referred Friend's first payment clears. The Referrer's reward is added to the next billing period of their active Stripe subscription, or banked (see §5) if they have no active Stripe subscription at the moment a referral qualifies. Rewards extend access to the plan and add-ons each side has purchased. They have no separate cash value and are not exchangeable, transferable, or refundable for cash.
If the Referrer's Stripe subscription has ended (cancelled, expired, or never started) at the moment a referral qualifies, their reward is held as banked credit on their VeloGuardian account. The next time the Referrer activates a Stripe subscription on veloguardian.com, all banked months are applied automatically as an extension on top of the new subscription's billing period.
Banked credit does not expire. It accumulates if multiple referrals qualify while the Referrer is between subscriptions, and applies in full on the next Stripe activation.
Banked credit applies only to subscriptions billed via veloguardian.com (Stripe). It is never applied to Apple App Store or Google Play Store subscriptions.
If the Referred Friend cancels and receives a refund of their initial payment, VeloGuardian reserves the right to reverse the rewards on both sides. Reversals are handled manually on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions about a specific situation, contact [email protected].
VeloGuardian reserves the right to refuse, withhold, or claw back any reward that we determine in good faith resulted from fraud, abuse, or a violation of these terms. We are not obligated to explain refusal decisions on a per-referral basis.
The Program is intended for personal, non-commercial sharing with friends and family. The following activities are not allowed:
Violations may result in forfeited rewards, exclusion from the Program, or termination of the user's VeloGuardian account, at our discretion. Where we incur costs from a Referrer's violation of applicable law — for example, a complaint filed against us under anti-spam regulations — we may seek reimbursement.
Participation in the Program means we process the email addresses of Referrers and the new accounts they bring in. We use this information to credit rewards, send Program-related notifications, and detect fraud. Our handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We may update these terms or end the Program at any time. If we change these terms, we will post the updated version at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
Material changes that affect rewards already earned will not be applied retroactively to those earned rewards.
If we end the Program, banked credit on existing accounts will continue to redeem on the rules in effect when the credit was earned, for at least twelve (12) months after the end-of-program date.
Disclaimers of warranty, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution are governed by the corresponding sections of our main Terms of Service. Nothing in these referral terms expands or reduces those provisions.
